Barton provides details about inmate death

JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- Details about the death at the Campbell County Jail have been released.

Faith Nicole Evans, 26, of Jacksboro was found alone and unresponsive in her cell today around 7:30am.

Food truck rallies, football season tailgating discussed

City of LaFollette meets in workshop session

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Yesterday afternoon, the LaFollette City Council met and discussed the possibility of having food truck rallies throughout the summer. Mayor Cliff Jennings stated that he would like to have some tailgating events during football season where people could watch the ballgame and tailgate.

JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – As of Fri., Apr. 26, 2024, 11am, HERE is the updated list of property that is on the Clerk & Masters auction block Friday, May 10, 9am, at the Chancery Courtroom of the Campbell County Courthouse.  “This property will be sold at auction for delinquent property taxes,” said Dennis Potter, Campbell County Clerk & Master. It’s for the year 2021 and any previous outstanding years, according to Potter.

“We accept cash or check at the end of the sale.  Participants may also use a credit card which includes a 4% fee,” said Lisa Sanders, Deputy Clerk for the Campbell County Clerk and Masters Office.

CIT celebrates spring graduates

HARRIMAN, TN (WLAF) – Sixteen law enforcement personnel, five emergency medical service employees, and one mental health professional graduated from Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training on April 19 from Gates Hall in Harriman. The graduates represented a wide range of departments and agencies: Amerimed EMS, Anderson County EMS, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Covenant Health, Harriman Police Department, Oak Ridge Police Department, Oliver Springs Police Department, Roane County Sheriff’s Office, and Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services.
