Bolton's attempt to evade police fails

CLAIRFIELD, TN (WLAF) - Campbell County Sheriff's Deputy Christopher West recently saw a 2013 white Toyota fail to obey a traffic device. When West saw this and began to follow behind the vehicle for a short distance, initiating lights and sirens. The driver of the Toyota continued to drive for about three-tenths of a mile before turning onto Log Mountain Rd and then onto Y Hollow Rd driving about 100 yards before coming to a stop.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - Fan favorite Gene Cordova performed Friday morning at the La Follette Public Library, and the ventriloquist, puppeteer, comedian, and magician all rolled into one did not disappoint. “Gene is an all-time favorite,” said Nancy Green, director of the LaFollette Public Library.

Work on east end sink hole set to begin today

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - It was just after 10:30am Sunday morning when City of La Follette Public Works Director Casey Boshears discovered a patched area of East Central Avenue had developed into a sink hole.


Delinquent property tax sale held

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) - The county held its annual delinquent property tax sale Friday morning. A crowd attended the auction, which was held for the first time at the Jacksboro Middle School rather than the courthouse due to COVID-19 restrictions on that many people being in the courtroom. 


Eastbound lane across from the La Follette Post Office remains closed

Brian Leach with La Follette Public Works and Ronnie Lee (right) with TDOT were quick to respond to the sink hole on Sunday morning soon after Casey Boshears, Director of La Follette Public Works, reported the hole at 10:35am.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - "The right lane will be shutdown through the night," said La Follette Public Works Director Casey Boshears. The eastbound lane of East Central Avenue/Highway 63 across from the post office was shutdown in the 10am hour Sunday morning.
