LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The City of La Follette has made a schedule change to its monthly workshop and regular meeting because of how the dates fall for Memorial Day. The City will hold its workshop on Monday, June 6, followed by the regular meeting on Tuesday, June 7. Both meetings will start at 5:30pm at City Hall.

Investigation into fatal accident near hospital continues

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Quick moving members of the medical community came together just after 1pm Wednesday to assist a man and woman involved in a motor vehicle accident on East Central Avenue. The accident happened when an SUV backed over the curb in the La Follette Medical Center parking lot, flipped, came down the hill and landed on its top on the sidewalk, according to La Follette Police.

TCAT receives $2,5000 check from UCOR
State Representative Dennis Powers, Senator Ken Yager, Joe Aylor with UCOR, UCOR Chief of Staff Samantha Dolynchuk, UCOR President and CEO Kenneth J. Rueter, TCAT Jacksboro President Debbie Petree and TCAT Jacksboro Vice President Tim Smith. United Clean Up Oak Ridge (UCOR) presented a check for $2,500 to TCAT on Wednesday. Senator Yager “instigated” the donation to go towards TCATs Foundation to help students.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – United Cleanup Oak Ridge (UCOR) donated $2,5000 to the Jacksboro Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) on Wednesday. The donation was secured by Senator Ken Yager, who has pledged to fundraise for the TCAT foundation.
