LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – This year’s CASA Bluegrass Breakdown event was all about great music, great food and fundraising for a great cause! The 23rd Annual Bluegrass Breakdown was held at the Ball Farm Event Center on Saturday from 4:30 to 8:30 pm.

The special guest speaker was Captain Stacey Heatherly with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Campbell County General Sessions Judge and Juvenile Judge Bill Jones also spoke at the event, as did CASA Advocate Milessa Dunlop.

People were entertained by Zach Wiles and the Mill Holler Ramblers, CF Bailey and Shadow Ridge.

A live and silent auction also raised funds during the event.

CASA Director Jan Jones said a special thank you to everyone who was involved in the event and making it “once again a success.”

She thanked the sponsors, donors, businesses, volunteers and all “those involved” in “supporting Campbell County children.”

Senator Ken Yager attended Saturday’s CASA Bluegrass Breakdown.

Support of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) “makes a difference in a child’s life” and allows the non-profit organization to recruit and train volunteer advocates to be a voice in court for the abused and neglected children that have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care.”

“On behalf of our staff, volunteers, and board of directors, we would like to thank everyone who made this event possible. Without the help of individuals, businesses, and volunteers, we would not be able to serve the abused and neglected children in our community.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/15/2024-6AM)
