LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A silver moped traveling westbound on Jacksboro Pike without the headlight on caught the attention of LaFollette Police Officer Justin Tackett around 9 pm last Saturday. Tackett pulled the moped, a type of small motorcycle, over at 2534 Jacksboro Pike and spoke with the driver identified as Gary Wayne Campbell.

Campbell was asked for his driver’s license, insurance and registration to which he told Tackett that he currently did not have a driver’s license but remembered his past driver’s license number. He also stated that he did not have insurance or registration. Tackett had the dispatch operator check the past driver’s license number and learned that Campbell had two prior convictions for driving on a revoked license due to DUI.

Campbell, 64, 361 Jacksboro Station Road, Jacksboro, was charged with driving while revoked/ suspended/canceled with priors, light law violation, failure to provide proof of insurance and driving with expired registration. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-10/24/2025-6AM)
