WLAF’s recognition of 100 year or more old businesses continues

Back in the day, this was a very busy part of LaFollette.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- WLAF continues celebrating local businesses that have been a part of the community and in business for more than 100 years. Today, Riggs Drug and Jellico Monument are featured.

See the stories and photos from The La Follette Country Club, Llewellyn Funeral Home and UBank on demand from WLAF. These businesses were featured on Wednesday.

The FNB/Community Trust Bank and Camel Expeditionary were featured on Tuesday, and you can see those stories and photos on demand.

“In a town this size to have three different businesses owned and run by the same families for 100 years or more is so unique,” said Rob Woodson, Woodson’s Cash Stores.

At the celebration of the 100th anniversary of EE Hill & Son Insurance in January, WLAF’s Charlie Hutson pointed out that La Follette now has three 100-year old or more businesses that are still owned and run by the same families. They are EE Hill & Son Insurance, Peoples Bank of the South and Woodson’s Cash Stores.
