LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County’s Drug Coalition, Campbell United, welcomes the community to a Resource Fair scheduled for Sat., April 20, at the LaFollette Church of God from 11 am till 2 pm. Come for a fun-filled day of food and information. There will be hot dogs and popcorn, along with free gifts and door prizes at each booth. More than 33 vendors will be on site representing their organizations.

Community leaders and local organization members are banding together to host the Resource Fair, which is the first big project of the newly re-established Campbell United drug coalition.

According to organizers, the Community Resource Fair will be something like LaFollette’s National Night Out and will bring together multiple organizations and nonprofits to hand out information about resources they offer.

There are currently 33 venders that have signed up for the event and the hope is for even more to join, according to Campbell United Director Charlsa Honeycutt.

“We will have a lot of local resources represented all in one location that day, and I encourage people to come enjoy and learn what’s available in our county,” Honeycutt said.

As part of the Community Resource Fair, Campbell United is also holding a diaper and wipes drive for the Children’s Center and the Pregnancy Center.

Donations of diapers and wet wipes will be accepted on site the day of the resource fair. They are also currently being accepted at the Campbell County Children’s Center located at 203, Independence Lane, in LaFollette and at the Campbell County Pregnancy Center inside the Woodson’s Mall.

According to organizers, Campbell United hopes to be a “coordinator” in the community, helping to direct those in need to the proper organization to help with treatment, recovery, spiritual guidance and more.
