JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- One of four people charged in the overdose death of Rosezetta Wilson Morris has pleaded guilty.

On Monday, Latasha D. Wilson appeared in criminal court to admit to her crimes.

Standing before Criminal Court Judge Zach Walden, Wilson agreed she was guilty of facilitation of second-degree murder.

She was sentenced to eight years in prison to be served at 30 percent, according to court records.

In September 2023, Wilson along with Helena Sue Wilson, Christy Marie Wilson and Claude Edward Collins, Jr. were indicted and arrested in the death of Morris.

Wilson, 51, was found dead in her West 4th Street home in January 2023. LaFollette Police and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation launched a joint investigation at the time.

Authorities concluded Morris died of an overdose caused by fentanyl toxicity.  The investigation led to the Wilsons and Collins’ arrests.

Agents determined Helena Wilson, Latasha Wilson, Christy Wilson, and Collins were involved in distributing the drugs that caused Morris’s death. 

Collins was also in court on Monday. He has acquired additional charges that include two counts of possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to sell; two counts of possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to deliver, tampering with evidence, assault on a first responder, evading arrest, resisting arrest. He pleaded not guilty to those crimes and will appear in court again on June 24.

Helena Wilson and Christy Wilson’s next court date is May 28.
