Mr. Charlie King, Jr., age 76 of LaFollette passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Mr. King proudly served in the US Army, 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War, showcasing his bravery and commitment to his country. Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, Charlie’s true joy stemmed from tending to his garden. His proudest achievements included being a member of the Masonic community, notably Mason, OH Masonic Lodge #678, F. & A.M., a 32* Scottish Rite Mason, and also being a Shriner. These affiliations were dear to his heart and spoke volumes about his character. He is reunited in spirit with his parents, Charlie, Sr., and Della King, as well as his sister, Jonetta Bruce.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Powell) King; Sons, Charlie King, III and wife Anita, Steven A. King and wife Kelly; Daughter, Leslie Marie King; and his adored grandchildren: Tanner Brunk, Shelby King, Bradley King, Grace King, Garrett King, and Levi King. He is also survived by many loving step-grandchildren in Wyoming, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Walters Funeral Home.  Services to honor and remember Charlie’s life will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Military Honors being conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County, and Masonic Rites conducted by Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778, F. & A.M. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Charlie King, Jr.
