LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- Last Friday, around 10 am, LaFollette Police Officer Adam Southern was dispatched to 1142 East Elm Street after receiving a call about a suspicious man wearing a tan shirt. When Southern arrived, he found Dillon Shane Peters, who was sitting in the grass alongside the roadway.

Peters walked up to Officer Aaron Sexton, held out his hand, which was holding a bag of crystal substance believed to be meth. “I’m assuming you guys are here for this,” he allegedly told police.  Peters then allegedly admitted he had snorted two lines earlier in the day and had purchased the substance from someone he knew.

Peters, 32, 198 Pleasant Drive, LaFollette is charged with public intoxication and possession of schedule II controlled substance. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 3/21/2024- 6AM)
