LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “Though I see all ages of patients, older adult patients have a special place in my heart,” said Nurse Practitioner Baylie Graves. Graves, who began at age 16 laying the foundation for her career as a healthcare professional, is now on the staff at Cumberland Gap Medical in La Follette and Harrogate.

“From a sinus infection to diabetes to hypertension, I cover it all for my patients,” said Graves. Walk-ins are welcome, appointments, too, at our La Follette (423.201.9799) and Cumberland Gap offices (423.869.3332).

Graves is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she attended on scholarship. “It’s known for its nursing, one of the nation’s top nursing schools, is why I chose EKU,” said Graves. She earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from LMU.

The fact that Graves mother is a nurse certainly influenced her career. However, how her grandfather was treated and cared for by healthcare professionals in such a kind and professional way really left her with the impression of wanting to help patients,” said Graves. “He’s been in remission for eight years,” Graves added.

Graves grew up in the valley and feels right at home at the La Follette and Harrogate offices of Cumberland Gap Medical. She sees patients at both offices. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/18/2024-6AM)
