Tammy (MiMi) Lynn Ellison, age 63 of Speedwell, passed away Saturday, March 2nd, 2024. She was a member of Speedwell Church of God and was employed at Quality Home Care. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Leonard Ellison, parents Donald and Betty McNew Douglas, brother Jimmy Douglas, and Grandchildren Olivia, and Charleigh Ellison.

To all who ever knew Tammy, one thing is true, there was never another quite like her. Tammy was a loving wife, mother, and MiMi. Her grandchildren were her world. She was a fierce friend, you either loved her or you didn’t. If you needed anyone to talk to, she would take the time and listen. If you were struggling, she knew the right words to say. She loved her family, her sons, her daughters-in-law, and her grandchildren more than anything in this world. She was a true nurse who cared for many patients over her more than 30 years of nursing. She truly had a servant’s heart. She loved the Lord and her church family so much. She often would say, “You’ve got to trust in the Lord.” She will be greatly missed by so many.
