Two wrecks happened about the same time Thursday afternoon on the west end of La Follette

This Western-Star rig needed a lot of help to get out of this ditch.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – There were two wrecks on the four lane at about the same time on Thursday afternoon. On the far west end of town is where the mishaps occurred. However, one accident created a lot more of a patience challenge for drivers than the other; a huge gravel truck wreck.

Big rig help came to this gravel truck’s aid on Thursday afternoon.

The truck wreck, near the Weir Woods intersection, on the La Follette bound side of the road temporarily shut down the four lane as wreckers pulled the rig out of a muddy ditch. One lane traffic for most all of the event kept traffic backed up for miles starting at 3:51pm.
