Multiple fire agencies battling brush fire; homes are in danger

Wind is creating a major challenge for firefighters.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – There’s a Monday afternoon brush fire in an area just off Glade Springs Road. Multiple fire agencies have been on the scene for about an hour.

Reports coming in to WLAF are that a couple of acres is on fire on Noah Lane, and high winds are worsening the challenge. About five homes are in danger of the fire.

Fire units from the La Follette and Caryville fire departments are assisting firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service.
