Estel Verlon Evans age 81 of LaFollette went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2024. He was of the Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his son, Estel Evans; step-son, Shawn Longmire; parents, Phillip & Maudie Marlow Evans; brothers, Virgil C. Evans, Leland Evans; sisters, Joyce Stokes, and Evon Stokes.

He is survived by his daughter, Elsie Kinoffen; step-children, Cliff (Stacy) Longmire, Tim (Lisa) Longmire, Christian Pietrangelo; special friend Pearl Ward; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Arvil Evans; sister, Viola Dalton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 27, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with a service to follow at 7:00pm Officiated by Rev. Thomas Adkins.

Family and friends will meet at Cross-Smith Funeral Home at 9:30am on Wednesday February 28, 2024 to proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for a 10:00am graveside service and interment service.
