Campbell hosts a first round home region game tonight at 7:00 as Maryville visits. Watch over WLAF.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – District 4 opponents, like Maryville, have always proven tough for teams in District 3, which includes Campbell, 23 & 6. Holding home court is a good place to start, and that’s where Campbell hosts Maryville on Friday at 7pm. The WLAF-Doyle’s Tire Sports Network has the live telecast presented by Mickey & Son Lawn Care.

The Lady Rebels are 11 & 19 and finished third in the District 4-AAAA Tourney earlier this week on its home floor, Campbell Gym. Maryville secured the 3rd place seeding with a 51-19 win over William Blount, a team Campbell defeated twice this season.

Campbell made it to its first district tourney title game in five years as Oak Ridge won at Central by a final of 49-31 on Monday night.

Though Maryville won over Oak Ridge on Prudden Court in the opening round of last season’s region tourney, Oak Ridge won by 23 back in December on the same floor. Both teams won at Lenoir City and have wins over West.

Maryville has had its moments this season falling in overtime at home to powerful Bearden (25 & 2) and by six to the Smoky Bears (27 & 3) at Sevier County.

The winner of the Campbell-Maryville game will likely play at Bearden on Mon. at 7:30. Bearden hosts Karns on Friday.
