LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – A Tennessee Arts Commission project “Follow the Elk” is searching for a local Campbell County artist to be chosen to complete art works that will be on display at various locations in the county. 

Artists will be compensated for their work, with $500 going to the selected artist! The deadline to apply is March 1.

The project entails an art piece created by local artists to install at various locations in Campbell County to highlight the history and culture of the area. 

The project is being sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission with funding being managed by the Campbell Culture Coalition. 

To be eligible, artists are required to be a current Campbell County resident and be high school age or older. The artist will also be required to sign a contract and comply with specifications, (given after artist selection).

Art requirements: 

·        Not Elk focused. It can be landscape, nature, portrait, architecture, still life. 

·        No sculptures.

·        Will receive a location after artist is chosen by the steering committee.

·        Art must be completed by May 15.

At least three digital images of previous work, as well as your name and age and your physical address. If school age, include the grade you are in and the school you attend.
