Walter Hugh Lough, age 75 of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. He was born on July 31, 1948, to the late Walter Lough and Cecil (Hunley) Lough. Walter loved to watch westerns, listening to classic country music, hunting, fishing, guns, and talking about guns. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, and his biggest joy was being a grandfather. Walter was also employed with General Motors where he retired in 1993.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Roy Shirley Lough and his grandchild Stephen Thorton.

Walter is survived by his loving wife Joyce (Riggs) Lough; daughters Sarah Lough Dempsey and Christy Lough Hawley; stepson Zachariah Hastings; stepdaughters Michelle Thornton, Anita Stanley, Nicole Preston, and Dawn Hastings; grandchildren Katelyn Pitstick, Elizabeth Hawley, Thomas Thorton, Izzy Hobbs, Johnathon Hawley, Mackenzie Hawley, Griffin Dempsey, Stevie Hobbs, Grace Cormany, Isabella Hastings, and Hope Hastings; great- grandchildren Ashton Hawley and one great grandson on the way.

A visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, 305 E. Beech Street, LaFollette TN.  The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 5, 2024, in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Sampson Ridenour officiating with the interment to follow funeral service at Campbell Memorial Gardens with Military Honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
