JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- It’s not often a law enforcement officer is thanked for arresting someone but it happened Friday.

Walden thanked Riggs for the arrest that saved his life.

At the latest Eighth Judicial District Recovery Court on Friday, Christopher Walden expressed his gratitude to LaFollette Police Officers Noah Riggs and Matt Forsyth.

“I would probably be dead right now,” Walden said of the intervention that came in the form of an arrest. His arrest came after he was caught selling Heroin and Fentanyl, he said.

Each officer was presented with a small gift.

Walden presented both officers with a medallion to show his appreciation. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 1/9/2024- 6AM)
