* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE…Portions of southwest North Carolina, including the following areas, Cherokee and Clay and east Tennessee, including the following areas, Campbell, Anderson, Bledsoe, Blount Smoky Mountains, Bradley, Claiborne, East Polk, Hamilton, Knox, Loudon, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Morgan, North Sevier, Northwest Blount, Northwest Monroe, Rhea, Roane, Scott TN, Sequatchie, Sevier Smoky Mountains, Southeast Monroe, Union and West Polk.

* WHEN…Through this evening.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – The combination of recent snowmelt, saturated ground, and heavy rainfall will create conditions favorable for flooding within and near the flood watch area.

* PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… You should monitor later forecasts from WLAF and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
