GULF BREEZE, FL (WLAF) – Your Lady Cougars, 1 and 1 in the Innisfree Hotels Beach Basketball Classic, were looking to leave Florida with a winning record. The opponent for the Orange-and-Blue was the Lady Pirates from Braden River High School in Bradenton, FL.

Braden River, having only scored four points in their previous match up against Walker Valley, would not find the scoreboard in the first quarter. The Lady Cougars led Braden River 19-0 after one.

The Lady Pirates started off the quarter with a modest 7-2 run. This run would be short-lived as Campbell would outscore Braden River 12-0 through the remainder of the second quarter. At the half, the Lady Cougars led the Lady Pirates by a score of 33-7.

The third and the fourth quarters were all about spreading out the playing time among the Lady Cougars. As a matter of fact, Campbell’s starting five did not play in the fourth. In this game, just like day two’s game against South Paulding, every Lady Cougar saw the court.

When the final buzzer sounded, Campbell was ahead of the Lady Pirates 59-22.

Preslee Chapman racked up eight points. Jayden Kitts and Reagan Davis shad seven points apiece. Lacey Pemberton totaled six. Carley Kitts scored five, and Aleeah Woodson rounded out the scoring with 3.
