Chris Malone and Jaylynn Kitts Malone handed out toys at the Caring Cousins Christmas event at the Dewey Hunter Center in LaFollette on Friday.

2nd District Constable Darryl Chapman and 2nd Commissioner Scott Kitts at the Caring Cousins Christmas event held Friday at the Dewey Hunter Center in LaFollette. The event was organized by Commissioner Kitts and his cousin Jaylynn Kitts Malone.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Hundreds of area children attended the Caring Cousins Christmas event at the Dewey Hunter Center in LaFollette on Friday morning. 

Parents and kids lined up around the outside of the building prior to the 11am start of the event.

The holiday event was organized by 2nd District County Commissioner Scott Kitts and his cousin Jaylynn Kitts Malone. The event included $20 gift card giveaways, toy giveaways, photos with Santa and refreshments. Games and fun activities were sponsored by BSA Troop 310. Kids enjoyed bowling, indoor archery and more. Cub Scout Pack 134 also helped with the event.

According to Commissioner Kitts,  enough funds were raised to purchase more than 450 $20 gift cards for the event, and there were hundreds of toys donated for the event as well.

The event was organized by Commissioner Kitts and his cousin Jaylynn Kitts Malone.

“This was a collaboration between my cousin Jaylynn Kitts Malone and myself, and we’ve had tons of support and help from the community. We wanted to help the kids have a merry Christmas, but we couldn’t have done it without all of our wonderful sponsors and individuals who donated to this event. We as a community and a county are so blessed,” Commissioner Kitts said. 

There was a huge turnout at the Caring Cousins Christmas in LaFollette on Friday. Kids got pics with Santa, got toys and a $20 gift card at the event organized by Commissioner Scott Kitts and Jaylynn Kitts Malone.
