JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- On Monday around 3:30pm two Campbell County youths were involved in a now fatal accident on Butter and Egg Rd near M & M Lane.

According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2005 Ford F150 was traveling west negotiating a slight right curve when the driver lost control, went off the roadway on the left striking the guardrail. The vehicle then crossed back over the road, struck a tree, then stopped on M&M Lane.

The driver of the vehicle was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. The passenger of the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and died because of his injuries, according to the report.

The THP hasn’t released the names of those involved in the accident.
