Justin Ray Cox, affectionately known as Juppy, passed away on December 14, 2023, in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the age of 37. He was born on February 9, 1986, in Nashville, Tennessee. Justin was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend.

Justin is survived by his mother, Lisa (Joaquin) Chavez of Knoxville, Tennessee, and his father, Todd (Debbie) Cox of Jacksboro, Tennessee. He will be deeply missed by his grandparents, Benny (Wilma) Cox of Sale Creek, Tennessee. Justin’s memory will also be cherished by his daughter, Jaidan Cox and her mom Tiara of Knoxville, Tennessee, and his brothers, Nathan (Sarah) Cox and Cody (Trista) Cox, both of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a caring stepbrother to Alicia (Julie) Burgess of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Stephanie (Eric) Daniels of LaFollette, Tennessee, and Josh (Olivia) Evans of LaFollette, Tennessee. Justin held a special place in his heart for his niece and nephew, Nataleigh and Blake Cox, as well as several other nieces and nephews. He was also close to his very special uncle, Aaron Goins, and had a strong bond with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Justin attended CCHS in LaFollette, Tennessee, where he completed his high school education. He had a passion for gaming and playing the guitar, which brought him immense joy throughout his life.

Justin’s warm smile and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May his soul find eternal peace.

Family will receive friends from 12:00Pm-2:00Pm Sunday December 17, 2023 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home.
