Robert Don Shelton, age 85, of Jacksboro passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023at Tennova North Medical Center. He was a loving Husband and Father and retired from

Y-12 of Oak ridge and was a veteran that served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He loved the mountains and sitting around at his son’s shop. He had survived several illnesses but, was seldom seen without a smile on his face and never met a stranger and loved his two dogs Corky and Scooter.

Preceded in death by parents: Sterling and Callestine Shelton, brothers and sisters: twins Burgin and Burton Shelton, twins Johnnie and Jessie Shelton, twins Laura Sharp and Lilly Shelton, Oscar Shelton, Foister Shelton, Bud Shelton, James Shelton, Pernie Gwin, Sarah Evans.

Wife of 56 years Brenda of Jacksboro

Son: Travis and wife Felicia of Caryville

Brother: Pete Shelton and wife Bonnie of Caryville

Along with several nieces and nephews

Pallbearers: Sparky, David D., Darrell, Lendin, Kyle, Goat and David G.

Family will receive friends Sunday, December 9, 2023 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with Funeral Service at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Monday and proceed to Broyles Cemetery for 11 AM Interment with Military Honors given by Honor Guard of Campbell County.
