Eather McKamey, age 87, of Caryville (Stoney Fork) went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather.  He was an Army Veteran serving as a Combat Engineer and retired coal miner of 28 years. He was a member of Round Rock Baptist Church, having served as past deacon and treasurer. He loved spending time with his family, especially Sunday family dinners.  He enjoyed woodworking, westerns and traditional gospel music. 

Eather was preceded in death by Parents: Delis and Carrie (Bullock) McKamey, Wife of 35 years Margaret, Wife of 21 years Donna, Daughter: Cathy, Brother: Paul.

Sons: Chester (Karen) of Jacksboro, David of Caryville, Jimmy (Donna) of Caryville, Jerry (Jodi) of LaFollette, Stanley (Sondra) of Caryville

Along with a host of family and friends.    

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Saturday, November 25th at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM, Rev. C. W. Fraker officiating.  Family and friends will meet 12:30 PM Sunday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to McGhee Cemetery for 2 PM Interment with Military Honors given by Honor Guard of Campbell County.
