Early Monday morning overdose at the Campbell County Jail

There have been more than 25 drug overdoses at the county jail since January 2023.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County EMS was dispatched to the Campbell County Jail early on Monday morning to the call of an inmate drug overdose.

Around 4:05am a call came into 911 Central Dispatch of a male who had allegedly received two doses of Narcan; he was reportedly still not responding.

The EMS crew arrived at 4:18am. Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the jail at 4:25am on the call of a combative male.

The combative male was the inmate who overdosed, according to one official. The inmate was transported to the La Follette Medical Center. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/20/2023-6AM)
