LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Need a haircut, a beard trim or a straight razor shave? Check out Five-O Fades, a locally owned “old school” barbershop offering full barbering services.

Haircuts are $15, as are shaves. Seniors over 62 get a discount and it’s $12.

The shop is owned by veteran Jeff Allen, who began his business three years ago. The barbershop was located in Jacksboro, but moved to its current location about two months ago due to needing more space.

Allen spent 32 years as a “cop in Campbell County,” before retiring to open the barbershop.

Barbershop owner and veteran Jeff Allen is pictured cutting Randy Baird’s hair.

“I wanted a nice change of pace, and figured I’d try my hand at being a business owner, ” Allen said, though he still works “part time for the sheriff’s office and Jacksboro Police Department.”

According to Allen, the community has been very receptive to his business, allowing him to expand and bring additional barbers on at his shop out of necessity to meet the demand. He also has Justin Clowers, Lucas McAfee, and Nelson Smith at the barbershop.

“We had a very good response, and it got so overwhelming, I ended up hiring Nelson and then we kept getting more and more business and I hired Justin and Lucas. It’s been great and we want to thank all of our clients.  If it wasn’t for our customers, we wouldn’t have a business,” Allen said.

Five-O Fades is located in White Way Plaza at 2010 Jacksboro Pike, LaFollette Suite 6 around the corner from Save-a-Lot.

Business hours are Tuesday 8:30am-6pm, Wednesday 8:30am-1pm, Thursday and Friday 8:30am-6pm, Saturday 9am-1pm. They are closed Sunday and Monday.

They only take walk-ins.
