LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Next month, three churches are hosting a soup and dessert event in memory of David Thompson. Thompson had a love for feeding the hungry, and this is a way for the community to keep his memory alive.
You and your family are invited to come out for a free bowl of hot soup and a dessert. It’s set for Sat., Nov. 4, 1pm to 4pm, at the Dewey Hunter Center. The center is on South 4th Street across from the La Follette Housing Authority office.
The members of the Demory Baptist Church, East La Follette Baptist Church and Fincastle Church are hosting this tribute to David. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/03/2023-6AM)
