Mrs. Linda Geneva Tidwell, age 82, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023.  She was born August 3, 1941, in Campbell County, Tennessee to the late Charles Luther and Nancy Jane (Bruce) Walden. Linda was a graduate of Wynn High School. She married Robert Harold Tidwell and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Linda attended House of Prayer Tabernacle. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family, and spoiling her granddaughters.  She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Tidwell; sisters, Naomi Burns, Azalee Meredith, Tilda Cupp, Bobbie Gibson, Rosie Bruce, Flossie McCullah, Dorothy McCullah, Delois Siler, and Mae Hatmaker; and brothers, James Walden, Hansford Walden, Tilman Walden, Jackie Walden and Ansel Walden.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Tidwell; daughter, Nancy Peralta; granddaughters, Jiannella and Jeovanna Peralta; sister, Pauline Ayers; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN.  The family will also receive friends on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Chapel with Funeral Service to Follow at 7:00 P.M. with Bishop Delmus Bruce officiating.  Family and Friends will meet Saturday, November 4, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Melvin Cemetery for 12:00 P.M. Graveside Service and Interment.
