A crew worked up next to West Beech Street on Tuesday morning with the street down to one lane for about a hundred yards.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Bumpy Beech Street has taken the place of the recently paved Stinking Creek Road, which was completed in 2019, as perhaps the roughest stretch of road in Campbell County. However, Beech Street may loose its bumpy moniker sometime in the warm weather portion of 2024.

Catch basins line one part of West Beech Street as the construction continues.

Work on the street’s drainage system is scheduled to be completed by February or sooner. New sidewalks, which will take some time, on Beech Street were also talked about as part of the repaving project. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/11/2023-6AM)
