LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Saturday on Pat Kerr Field at La Follette Middle School, the Campbell County JV Hopper football team embarked on new ground.

Coach Chris Hutson and his Baby Cougars finished their regular season unbeaten with a win over the Lakers of Lake City. These Cougars came out on top with a 25-0 win boosting their record to 7 & 0.

Saturday stand outs in this game include Ryder Leach, Paxton Carroll, Kahner Cupp and the entire defense which did not allow hardly a first down let alone a score. The defense also forced a couple of turnovers.

Cougar coaches make adjustments.

They were to have one more game after the Lake City game, but that game is a forfeit. Coalfield forfeited pushing the JV Hopper Cougars record to 8 & 0 putting them into the championship no doubt as the top seed. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/09/2023-6AM)
