Ray Charles Sellers, age 77, of Pioneer, Tn passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 3, 2023. He was born on Jan. 8, 1946 in Caryville, Tn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nick C. Sellers and Vesta Carroll Sellers Prater; sisters Marie Wilson Burnett of Jacksboro, Mildred Helton of La Follette, Lula Milam of Tipp City, Ohio, Joyce Sparks of Aiken, SC; a brother, Francis Sellers of Ga.

He is survived by his son, Rodney; sisters, Carolyn Norman of Jacksboro, Margie Fiest of Sumter, SC, Kathy Harding of Jacksboro; a host of nieces and nephews; and a God sent special friend, Cookie, whom the family could never repay for her generosity and kindness.

Family will receive friends at 1:00-2:00 PM, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM with Rev. Johnny Dabney officiating.  Interment to follow at Harness Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
