Richard S. McAfee, age 91, of Caryville passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023. He was always surrounded by a group of special friends who loved him, and he maintained his determination and independence to the very end. After twenty- seven years of service he retired from the TN. Dept. of Transportation. He became a master of woodworking using traditional methods and tools, with a focus on the 18th century.

Preceded in death by wife: Freda Linkous McAfee, parents: Roy and Rose Shults McAfee, brother: Frederick McAfee.
