JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Once the Cougar defense clocks in tonight at Lenoir City, it can’t clock out until the final horn. Lenoir City’s misdirection offense requires attention from all 11 of Campbell’s defenders on every play. Missed Cougar assignments are prime prey for the Panthers.

Campbell’s young receiving corps continues coming along and showed good improvement last Friday, according to Cougar Head Football Coach Justin Price. “We’re looking for them to keep coming along, and another good game from Landen Hensley with him just playing at the level he can and has done on almost every play this season,” said Price.
“Our defense is up for the challenge tonight, but it’s going to take all 11 on every play against their unique offense. Getting them off schedule and putting them in third and longs are our goals,” said Price. Lenoir City runs its version of the Wing-T, a Single Wing type, it’s called by Coach Price. The Panthers offense doesn’t really have a quarterback in its misdirection feature.
Tonight’s game is a Region 3 5-A contest, the first for Lenoir City, the second for Campbell. Both teams are 2 & 2 with Campbell 0 & 1 in the region. A week ago, Clinton outpaced Campbell on its home field 55-14 while Lenoir City won 35-0 at home over The Kings Academy.
Since 1975, WLAF and the Doyle’s Tire Shop Network will once again have all the coverage of Campbell Football. The voices and faces of WLAF’s broadcast team are broadcasting in their 13th season.
