LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – In the Volunteer Football League (VFL) our JV Hopper Cougars took a 2 – 0 record into their game against the Dragons of Clinton Saturday on Pat Kerr Field at La Follette Middle School.

It was the home opener for our Cougars, and they will play all their home games on the LMS campus this year.

Clinton scored first but our Cougars quickly answered their score with one of their own as Kahner Cupp (27), who is the son of Johnathan Cupp, scored at will it seemed all afternoon.

So the JV Cougars improve their record to 3 – 0 on the young season.

Kahner Cupp scores on an 80 yard quarterback keeper down the west sideline.

The Hoppers and Cutters games were postponed due to lightning in the area and will be played on October 21st.

Our Cougars travel to Tri-State Saturday, then the following Saturday (Sep. 23) are back home for Norwood. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/14/2023-6AM)
