LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A white female was standing on the sidewalk at 119 East Central Avenue in La Follette on Saturday when La Follette Police Sergeant Melissa Phillips saw the woman jerking, swaying, and moving her body in a twisted motion.

Phillips spoke with the woman who was identified as Katherine Louise Wilson and noticed that she had slurred speech. Wilson allegedly reported that she was not under the influence of drugs and gave verbal consent to be searched, according to a report from the La Follette Police Department.

Phillips found a multicolored metal tin container in her bag that she stated she did not know what was inside it, because it belonged to her boyfriend. Also found was a piece of notepad paper folded up containing white shards that were suspected to be Methamphetamine inside the tin container.

A check of warrants showed that Wilson had an active violation of probation warrant. Wilson was arrested and transported to the Campbell County Jail.

Wilson, 61, 149 Sugar Hollow Ridge, La Follette was charged with aggravated burglary and possession of schedule I and schedule II controlled substance along with public intoxication. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/14/2023-6AM)
