LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “We’re running ahead of schedule,” said Casey Boshears, Director of Public Works for the City of La Follette. Thursday was public works eighth day on this project even with the rain holding up progress for a few days.

Boshears explained that they still had some more rock to break up and remove before crews would be down to the proper level to begin reconstructing the road. A couple of more days will be needed to clear the site ahead of the start of the road build.

“With no unforeseen events happening and good weather, we should be finished by the end of next week and ready for Rogers Group to begin paving,” said Boshears.

The LPW crew really made a big difference in a short amount of time putting them way ahead of schedule, according to Boshears. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/01/2023-6AM)
