Ella Wells age 88 of LaFollette passed away Friday August 25, 2023.

She was a member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, retired from Imperial Reading Shirt Factory after 30 years of service and went on to be a caregiver for her family, she was a well-known seamstress in the area where she made many friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends in her later years, and enjoyed dancing at the senior citizens center, she never met a stranger, and loved everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by husband of 54 years J.T. “Hack” Wells; son, Scott Wells; parents, Ben and Mary Pike Overbay; grandson, Brandon Scott Wells; brother, James Overbay; sisters, Josie Walp, Bertie Allen, Edna Bunch, Sue Allen, and Judy Bullock.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Cynthia Wells; granddaughter, Nikki Wells; daughter-in-law, Christine Wells; sister and best friend, Billie Nance; brothers, Fred and Bobby Overbay; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:30pm Wednesday August 30, 2023 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with a service to follow officiated by Brother David Shepherd.

A Private interment will be held at Jacksboro Cemetery.
