JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It’s Game Day on The Hill as Campbell opens its 2023 home slate with the Fulton Falcons in a game that kicks off at 8pm.
Since the first winning season of the Justin Price Era in 2013, support for the football program has grown dramatically. You can see it in the scoreboard signage, attendance and game day programs.
In WLAF’s weekly visit with Price this week, he eluded to the support. “I love our stadium and playing here, and the community has supported our program since I’ve been here. It’s hard to put into words what all they’ve allowed us to accomplish, because we are the community’s team,” said Price.
The 13th year head coach expresses that “the players work so hard. They invest so much, and when they run out on this field and see this crowd support them, win or lose, through good plays and bad plays, it just shows what they’re doing matters.”
“There are almost as many colored ad pages in this year’s game program than we had total pages 10 years ago,” said Ken Sims of Litho-Craft Printing, Office and School Supply. Sims has produced the football game program for years including all 13 years of the Price Era.
Since 1975, WLAF and the Doyle’s Tire Shop Network will once again have all the coverage of Campbell Football. The voices and faces of WLAF’s broadcast team are broadcasting in their 13th season. Les Martin and Brent Allen send you all the excitement over WLAF’s ten media outlets covering radio, television and social media. Airtime for the Fulton game is 7:30pm with the kickoff at 8:00 on Friday, Aug. 25.
