LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – We love our Cave.  Cary’s Cave that is!  We hope you will join us tomorrow at 6pm at the Ball Farm Event Center for the 8th annual Children’s Center Auction and Dinner. Doors open at 5:30pm.

Eight elected officials will have two minutes to offer highlights of their last year in office. Each will have a cake or pie to auction.

“This year we are raising funds for our transitional apartment, Cary’s Cave.  With the increase in children awaiting DCS foster placement the Cave has seen an influx of children in need for a safe and secure space to rest.  Our board has determined we will be making renovations to the space to better serve these children.  It is our goal to raise $25,000 this year,” commented Billy Ball, Fundraising Committee Chairman. 

Banner sponsorships have been expanded to two levels this year.   

Gold Sponsor level of $500 includes:

Silver Sponsor level of $300 includes:

The Campbell County Children’s Center was founded in 2001 to provide a safe haven for sexually and physically abused children.  Instead of being interviewed countless times at different locations, a child can tell their story to one caring and specially trained professional in a child-friendly environment where the child knows he or she will be safe. 

Now more than ever, the Children’s Center needs support, according to Tracie Davis, CEO. “Our organization has been extremely busy in the three counties that we serve, Campbell, Claiborne & Union County, and our existence as an organization depends upon donations and grants,” Davis said.
