CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- Area law enforcement spent Tuesday arresting people with outstanding warrants.

Around 8am teams comprised of officers from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, LaFollette Police, Caryville Police, Jellico Police and the warrant division from the Tennessee Department of Corrections set out to make the arrests. By 8pm they had arrested around 22 people, said CCSO Chief Deputy Cody Chapman.

The county was covered with arrests being made in Clairfield, Jellico, Demory and up the valley, Chapman said. See Wednesday’s arrest report HERE.

While the majority of those arrested were probation violators, other crimes were discovered in the course of those arrests.

Officers found additional people with outstanding warrants in some of the homes, Chapman said.

A significant narcotics arrest was also made.

Nakita Daugherty was allegedly found with 20 grams of Meth and was arrested, according to Chapman.

Round ups of this nature is one of the things the sheriff wanted to accomplish once he took office, Chapman said. He is appreciative of the assistance from the other agencies, Chapman said.
