JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Once Coach Justin Price and his Cougars left the film room on Monday after watching their impressive first half and stinker of a second half against Halls, they turned their thoughts to Fulton.

Campbell lost its season opener at Halls on Thursday 41 to 14 after leading 14-10 at intermission. Fulton fell 53-20 to Central in the Battle of Broadway in a game that quickly turned the Bobcats way.

“The old saying is that you’ll learn more from game one to game two more than any other two games of the season, and I expect that to be a part of who we are this year,” said Price. Price adds that “we can’t be defined by a scoreboard, we can’t be defined by one game, one bad half.”

The Cougars offense shined through scrimmages and the first half of Thursday’s game. Friday is a chance for Campbell to polish up its offense and regain its form.

“We know what type of football team we have, and we’ve just to keep working to maximize this team,” said Price. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/22/2023-6AM)
