Mrs. Anna L. Smith, age 103 of Caryville passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023.  She attended Bearwallow Baptist Church where she served as greeter and also cleaned the church for many years.  Anna enjoyed dancing, gardening, and was an amazing cook.  Preceded in death by Husband, Ernest “Red” Smith; Children, Sue Sharp, Barbara June Smith, and Charles Smith; Grandchildren, Vince Thacker and Charles “Tinker” Smith; Parents, William Kyle Baird and Marie Miller; Brother, Johnny Floyd Miller; and Sister, Mary Sue Cantrell.

Survivors: Daughters, Carol Smith, JoAnn McKeehan, and Glenda Faye “Squeak” Smith; Sons, Bob Smith and Wife, Barb, and Leon “Sput” Smith and Fiancé, Mickey; 11 Grandchildren, Numerous Great-Grandchildren, Great-great-Grandchildren, other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home.  A Graveside Service will follow at Campbell Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry Foust officiating.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Anna L. Smith.
