LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Blue lights of La Follette Police cruisers were flashing not long after 7:30am Tuesday on the west end of town. The point of focus was a home at 1009 West Prospect Street, just over from West La Follette Baptist Church.

Cynthia Allen (left) was the target of Tuesday morning’s LPD raid. Allen allegedly sold meth to undercover agents, according to La Follette Police.

Members of the LPD Special Response Team and Narcotics Unit executed a narcotics search just after 7:30am and discovered four people and drugs inside the home. Three females and a male were brought outside as the investigation unfolded in the house.

“Cynthia Allen is our target here today. Our investigators have been working this case for the better part of two months, mainly buying meth here,” said LPD Lt. Matthew Forsyth.

Police say this home belongs to the mother of Cynthia Allen.

“So far, we’ve found Heroin and Meth, and charges are pending,” added Forsyth.

Cynthia Allen, 51, was arrested and charged with meth for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia. Campbell County Jail records indicate this was the 10th arrest for Allen. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/15/2023-8:30AM-UPDATED – 08/15/2023-10AM)
