The victim in a Saturday afternoon ATV wreck was transported by the Campbell County EMS to the La Follette Medical Center.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Two men, injured in separate crashes, are recovering this afternoon at the hospital.

Multiple agencies responded to a pick up truck wreck in the valley near Big O’s East.

Officials tell WLAF that around noon a truck veered off the road and struck a building, the former Sally’s Jewelry store, next Classic Auto Glass on the north side of General Carl Stiner Highway. It was believed the driver may have suffered a medical event.

The driver of this truck was taken to the hospital.

Officers with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), Campbell County EMS and the La Follette Rescue Squad (LRS) responded to an ATV wreck on the Hickory Creek Trail (Trail 37) close to Ivydale. Matthew Cameron with TWRA notes that just before 1:30pm one man and one ATV were involved in the wreck on the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area.

“The victim was transported by LRS personnel to the ambulance which was waiting in the staging area, said LRS Chief Charles Hutson. The TWRA is investigating. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/12/2023-5PM)
