Allegedly selling to get by between checks

DUFF, TN (WLAF) – A narcotics search warrant executed in mid-May nets two arrests in early August. Thursday morning is when investigators with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit returned to a home in Duff to make the arrests.

At 107 Cotula Road is where members of the drug unit caught up with Jackie Lee Perkins, 44, and her son, 27-year old Aaron Lee Perkins. Investigators located two small corner cut bags and a powder-like matter believed to be a schedule II controlled substance, one unopened package thought to be a schedule III controlled substance and a set of digital scales, based on the report from the CCSO.

Aaron Perkins allegedly admitted to possessing methamphetamine and led investigators to the meth. Jackie Perkins allegedly told investigators she possessed Suboxone, and that she sold it occasionally to “get by between checks.”

Aaron Perkins, of 179 Webb Lane-Newcomb, was charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Jackie Perkins’ charges are the manufacture-delivery-sell of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The raid took place at Jackie Perkins home at 107 Cotula Road.

Both Perkins are due in court on Thu., Aug. 10, and are still housed in the Campbell County Jail this afternoon. Jackie Lee Perkins bond is $50,000 secure while Aaron Lee Perkins bond is $20,000 secure. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/07/2023-6AM)
