CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A lengthy agenda awaits the Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen at tonight’s monthly meeting. Several administrative matters are on the agenda beginning with a discussion of auditor’s proposals for the fiscal year 2022-23. Next up is a second reading of Ordinance 2023-04 amending the annual operating budget for the fiscal year 2022-23. The board will discuss having the city recorder to start the loan process for paving. Bids for paving are also on the agenda. The board will discuss a legal service agreement. A $500 donation to the 8th annual Children’s Center fundraiser and a $1,000 donation round out administrative matters.

The public works department has two items on the agenda beginning with discussing the repair of Mountain Road and a garbage ordinance.

The police department is requesting to advertise for bids for equipment for a new 2023 Dodge Durango. The next item for the police department is purchasing duty weapons through a state contract. The final item for the police department is advertising for bids for the Violent Crime Grant items, crime scene trailer and equipment; stop sticks; Axon tasers; ballistic helmets and plate vests; fuming chamber and radars.

The final items on the agenda are discussing bids for two bay doors in the fire department and the Imagination Library of Campbell County.
