Mr. Bruce Whaley, age 74 of Speedwell passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023.  He was of the Baptist Faith and a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam.  Bruce was formerly employed with Ford Motor Company while living in Michigan, and upon returning to Tennessee, was employed with TDOT.  He enjoyed deer hunting and being on the lake.  Preceded in death by Parents, Andrew and Bertha Whaley, Brothers, Ernest, Roy, and Barney Whaley, Baby Sister, Veta Whaley, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Ray and Ruby Bratcher. 

Survivors: Wife, Donna Bratcher Whaley; Son, Evan Whaley; Brothers, Robert Whaley and Barb Whaley, Eugene Whaley and Wife, Charlene, Floyd Whaley and Wife, Catherine, Harrison Whaley and Wife, Carolyn, and Ed Whaley and Wife, Mary; Sister, Margaret Hensley; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Funeral Services Monday, July 31, 2023, 8:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday before funeral services.  Family and friends will meet Tuesday, August 1, 2023, 10:00 A.M. at Beeler Cemetery in Speedwell for Graveside Services and Interment.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Bruce Whaley.
