LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Looks kinda like a average day in downtown Lafollette sometime in the early 1950s. According the clock on the First National Bank, it’s about 12:40.
If this was a weekday shot, many of the employees from the Lafollette Shirt Factory were out and about for lunch. Many would use the one hour lunch break to do some shopping as downtown Lafollette was the shopping hub for this area. Back in those days, there was almost no place to shop on the four lane between Lafollette and Jacksboro like there is today. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/12/2023-6AM)
